URED Architecture is an innovative and emerging New York-based architectural practice headed by architect Leo Modrcin, started in 2001 upon the commission to design 59E59 Theaters for the Elysabeth Kleinhans Theatrical Foundation Inc. The three-theater performing arts center has been completed in 2004. In addition, uRED Architecture has designed a commercial hight-rise building (invited competition) and a residential building in Croatia. Prior to forming uRED Architecture, Modrcin has worked for ten years as an independent architect and consultant. He has also taught architectural design studios at Pratt Institute and has published articles on architecture. His competition entry won the first prize in the 11th Membrane Design Competition in 1996. |
